Thea lives in Orillia with her husband and two young daughters.  She obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from Western University followed by a law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, graduating in 2008.  She began her law career at a large national law firm in downtown Toronto in the area of Health Law, defending health sector clients at both the trial and appeal court levels, and representing hospitals in the area of forensic mental health.   Thea made the decision to leave the hustle of the city and return to her roots in Orillia in 2011, when she joined Galbraith Family Law.

As the mother of two young daughters, Thea appreciates the stress and upheaval a separation can have on a family and in particular on parents.  Thea works closely with her clients to identify their core concerns, whether this involves their children, money, property, or a combination of all three, to ensure that they are left with a solution that best meets their needs.  She believes in the benefits of negotiating family law disputes outside of court, whenever possible, and works with her clients to ensure that the process they choose is the most effective and efficient one for their unique situation.  Thea is trained in Collaborative family law, having completed training in levels I and II of Collaborative Team Practice.

Thea is friendly, approachable and a passionate and dedicated advocate.  In her spare time, when she is not knee deep in the latest toddler games, Thea can be found out for a run, at a yoga class, or curled up with a glass of wine and a good book.
